Emma Lea Blueberries

Beautiful, bountiful, blue and bursting with many ways to describe our blueberries. The blueberries are ready for you to pick, or have us pick for you approximately at the beginning of July to beginning of August.

If you don't have time to pick, we will do the picking for you and all you need to do is pick them up on the date you wish.

For up-to-date information on picking or request product be put on hold for you, please call us at 604-946-8216 or check us out on Facebook.

  • Bring your own containers. Buckets are good, as are boxes that you can put under the bushes to catch any berries that fall off when being picked. That minimizes the losses and fills up your containers quickly.

  • We have wagons for your use, but you may bring your own as the wagons are first-come, first-serve. Wagons are also good for toting small children and carrying large amounts of berries.

  • Do remember the sunscreen and hats, as it can get hot in the field at this time of year.

  • If you wish to bring water or a snack, we do have a picnic area which you may use. You can also wash your fruit and enjoy. We have an Ice Cream Stand which offers cones, milkshakes and sundaes. Ask for it in a dish and sprinkle your freshy picked berries on top!

Before eating any fruit, it should be washed under a cold water rinse. Dry on a towel and enjoy, or put in an airtight container for the freezer.

Blueberries are delicious eaten frozen too, very refreshing and a good snack as they are super-healthy for you. Blueberries are the dessert of choice for our family. We recommend you put some frozen berries in a pot and bring to a boil, stirring so they don't burn on the bottom. To thicken some of the juice, add a little cornstarch mixed with water, and you have a wonderful topping - no sugar needed. In a glass dish, put a scoop of ice cream, then top with the hot blueberry spread. It makes a wonderful dessert.
